Overview

The Jim Ferree Educational Scholarship provides support to graduating seniors from high schools in Beaufort County, SC, who plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited technical school, college, or university during the 2025-26 academic year. The ideal applicant has been impacted by the game of golf.

Limited Criteria

High school senior scheduled to graduate from a high school in Beaufort County.
Applicant has been accepted and plans to pursue a 2 or 4-year degree program.
Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 of a possible 4.0 on the South Carolina Uniform Grading Scale or equivalent on an alternate scale.
Applicant must show evidence of participation in at least one extra-curricular activity besides golf.
Required essay must address how their experiences playing golf have prepared them to succeed as adults.
