Overview

The Palmetto Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program provides post-secondary scholarship opportunities for qualified graduating high school seniors from Southern Beaufort, Jasper or Hampton Counties in South Carolina. Priority is given to qualified students with significant demonstrated financial need who plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college, university, or technical school. The Palmetto Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program is administered in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry.

Limited Criteria

• Applicant must be a legal resident residing in Southern Beaufort, Jasper or Hampton Counties in South Carolina, and a high school senior scheduled to graduate in the spring of the current school year. Applicants attending one of the three South Carolina Governor’s School programs or homeschool students are also eligible to apply.
• Applicant must demonstrate strong financial need.
• Applicant must have been accepted to, and will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school, with a plan to pursue a 2-year or 4-year degree program.
• Applicant’s GPA must have 80 or above on a 100 point scale.
• Applicants pursuing a 4-year degree programs must submit SAT or ACT scores.
