CFL Announces Deadline of August 12 for Second Round of Bluffton ARPA/SLFRF Grant Applications

July 21, 2022
CFL will distribute a second round of grants from the Bluffton ARPA/SLFRF COVID-19 Fund that was established by the Town of Bluffton with $500,000 it received through the federal government’s American Rescue Plan Act.

To date, approximately $231,000 has been awarded to local nonprofits.

Nonprofits eligible to apply for a grant include 501(c)(3) organizations that have a physical address within the town of Bluffton who provide services to low- and moderate-income residents of Bluffton and/or underserved communities. Organizations must be able to verify the income level of program recipients. The application deadline is August 12.

The Town of Bluffton Nonprofit Assistance Grant Fund advisory committee will review applications and recommend awards. Recommended grants will be approved through a process established jointly by the Town of Bluffton and Community Foundation of the Lowcountry Board of Directors.

The maximum amount that each organization can be awarded is $20,000.

All grant distributions will comply with federal guidelines and address negative economic impacts caused by COVID-19, including a decrease in revenue, challenges covering payroll, and rent or mortgage hardships.

Grant guidelines and a link to the grant application can be found at Community Foundation of the Lowcountry’s website: https://cf-lowcountry.org/nonprofits-and-grantees/arpa-slfrf-covid-19-fund-grant-guidelines
